The Fostering Network is proud to have been awarded the Children and Young People Now ‘Children in Care Award’ for our London Fostering Achievement programme, delivered in partnership with Achievement for All.

London Fostering Achievement is a programme of activity that aims to improve education outcomes for fostered children in London. This programme has brought together foster carers, teachers, young people and a wider professional network to deliver training, masterclasses, and much more. It was funded by the Mayor of London through the London Schools Excellence Fund.

Kevin Williams, chief executive of The Fostering Network, said: “Children in care are at the heart of all that The Fostering Network do. This award is testament to the hard work and innovation that we have delivered, in partnership with Achievement for All, alongside a dedicated team of educational champions and young ambassadors.​

“This programme has had a profound impact on the educational outcomes for young people in foster care, and it shows how much of a positive impact foster carers have on the development of the children and young people in their care. We’re proud to have won this award, and we will keep on striving to support children and young people and foster carers in every way we can.”
