Role: Self Employed Independent Support Worker
Hours: £33 per hour professional time, £16.50 an hour travel time + 45p per mil

The Fostering Network is the UK’s leading fostering charity. By working with foster families, and the services that support them, we help all children and young people who are fostered to achieve the very best they can.
The Fostering Network’s Independent Support Services Team provides independent, professional advice, support, advocacy and mediation where there have been complaints, concerns or allegations made against foster carers, in line with the National Fostering Minimum Standards 2011 that state that foster carers should have independent support through any allegation, the standard of care issue or complaint made against them.
Applicants should be qualified social workers with a background in childcare and a good working knowledge of fostering policies, procedures and practise, especially those relating to allegations against foster carers.
The role is subject to satisfactory checks and references including a DBS check. In order to fulfil the role, the applicant must have availability during the daytime in order to attend meetings, reviews and panel meetings with foster carers.
