New director for practice and Scotland at The Fostering Network announced

The Fostering Network is delighted to welcome Jacqueline Cassidy as its new director for practice and Scotland. 

Jacqueline joins The Fostering Network from the school based mental health charity Place2Be, where she was director for Scotland and Wales. Her passion for supporting children and young people has been a constant throughout her career, as she previously spent a decade at the national children and young people’s charity, Children in Scotland. While there, she worked with colleagues and partners to develop a range of programmes to support improved practice and policy outcomes for children and young people. Prior to that she managed a young people’s charity, the Kent People’s Trust, and spent several years at the Westminster think tank, the Social Market Foundation. Jacqueline has an MBA from Edinburgh Business School and in 2019, she received a Churchill Fellowship and conducted research on intergenerational co-located child and elder care.  

The Fostering Network’s chief executive, Kevin Williams, said: ‘I am delighted to welcome Jacqueline to the team as our new director for practice and Scotland. She brings a wealth of valuable sector experience and a commitment to ensuring foster care delivers the best possible outcomes for children and young people. I am looking forward to working with Jacqueline to take forward our work in Scotland, and on the development of our practice support across the UK.’
