The Scottish Government has launched a consultation on the future of foster care and wants to hear your views. We are running engagement events on their behalf to give foster carers the opportunity to speak up and share your experiences, ideas and feedback.
This is one of three online events. We are also running an in-person event in Glasgow and another in Edinburgh. To give others the chance to attend, please only book onto one of the events.

The Scottish Government has announced today that foster and kinship carers across Scotland will receive an updated allowance to help them care for the children and young people they look after.
The Fostering Network has campaigned with our foster carer members for this change for many years, so we welcome this long overdue announcement today.
Along with our partners at the Mortgage Brain, The Fostering Network is hosting a webinar for any foster carer who would like to learn more about the specifics of applying for a mortgage as a foster carer.
Understanding and applying for mortgages is difficult, and for foster carers this can be more difficult due to your self-employed status and issues surrounding income evidence.
